Hemp based skincare products provide the skin with a great balance of omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids plus Vitamin E, gamma linolenic acid and behenic acid which help hydrate and soften the skin. Skin care with hemp seed oil are particularly good for those who have dry and stressed skin and come in everything from serums, moisturisers and creams.

All the hemp seed oil found in our skin care products is made by cold pressing hemp seeds, to extract the oil. This oil is so nutritious and beneficial that more and more companies are starting to include it in their product ranges. As our largest and fasted growing category, you can find the right hemp skin care product here.

How Does Hemp Seed Oil Benefit skin and hair?

    1. Moisturises and Soothes – The gamma linolenic acid (GLA) present in large amounts in hemp seed oil, acts as a powerful natural anti-inflammatory while aiding skin cell regeneration. It can help calm inflammation and irritated dry skin while keeping it nourished and moisturised.

    2. Moderates Oil Production – Unlike many other oils, hemp seed oil is great for moisturising because it does so without clogging pores. By moisturising with hemp seed oil, you can help control the skins overproduction of oil which can help keep acne at bay.

    3. Treats Dermatitis – with high levels of omega 3 and omega 6 and packed full of nutrients, hemp seed oil has been shown to reduce the symptoms and appearance of atopic dermatitis.

    4. Has Anti-Aging Properties – as well as general moisturising and soothing, hemp seed oil has anti-aging properties for skin. The linoleic and oleic acids found in hemp seed oil can help prevent signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles.

How is hemp seed oil used?

The products we offer all contain hemp seed oil in varying amounts and have designed their product around it. It is blended into the cream or gel formula and is to be used topically in targeted areas.
